Purpose Work & Life Festival 2017

Join us at Sydney’s Purpose Work & Life Festival 2017, where we’ll be sharing our knowledge from the inside and encouraging hot discussions on three inspiring topics on one day! (9th March)

Allison Tsao           Gijs Nooteboom Managing Partner           Millie Letori Senior Workstyle Consultant

With the growing social injustice in the world, many people feel helpless to affect change and alter the global course that’s been charted. But we all play a role. Every second of every day. And much of that role starts in the workplace where long standing systems of power, politics, and structures inhibit the very change we want to see in the world. The biggest culprit? Data. Allison takes us on a journey to explore the history of the workplace, where we’ve been, and where we are inevitably going. And that new destination involves minimal data (as opposed to Big Data) and a lot more purpose and heart. Book your ticket for this session!

Strong leadership is a no brainer in succeeding in the competitive world of work today. Yet, even after all the leadership development programs put in place, why do employee engagement surveys continue to point at poor leadership? Gijs will share his provocative views on how the evolving workplace will challenge leaders to design a new way of working where all employees are free to work anywhere, anyhow, and anytime. Our future generations of workers will demand that we re-define leadership and how leading with more flexibility and empowerment (and less power and politics) will create a better world of work. Book your ticket for this session!

• 12:30 – 13:30   HOW TO TRUST IN THE WORKPLACE  (@MillieLetori)

Trust – us humans talk a lot about it. We want to receive it, we think we give it. It makes us feel safe. It is the foundation for experimentation, creativity, innovation; a key requirement for a safe working environment; a key contributor to engagement; Leaders who are trusting get better results. So, why do so many of us feel we are not trusted?  More importantly, what can we do about it.  Join this session for more information on the impact of different levels of trust, some pointers to help you identify when you are dropping the trust ball and some practical tips around how to trust more. It sure feels good! Book your ticket for this session!
